The government on Tuesday said the export ban on wheat will continue as long as the country does not feel comfortable with the domestic supplies to meet the food security needs. Addressing a press conference, state-owned Food Corporation of India (FCI) Chairman and Managing Director Ashok K Meena said wheat production has not been impacted due to unseasonal rains. Even after rains, the total wheat output will be at a record 112 million tonne this year. He also mentioned that the government procurement of fresh wheat crop has kick-started, and about 10,727 tonne was purchased at minimum support price (MSP) in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. 28-year-old Audrey Hale, who shot dead six people at Nashville's Covenant School, had bought seven weapons legally and used three of them in the horrific tragedy on Monday. Metro Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake in press briefing said that the weapons were purchased from five different local gun stores and were legally purchased. John Drake said Hale self-identified as transgender without offering further clarity. Mr Drake and other officials repeatedly referred to the attacker with female pronouns, though Hale used male pronouns on a LinkedIn page that listed recent jobs in graphic design and grocery delivery, Reuters reported . There's good news for PlayStation fans as Sony has now confirmed that all variants of its PS5 gaming console will receive a limited time discount of Rs. 5,000 in India from April 1. This is said to be part of its summer promotional offer and would be applicable for both online and offline purchases. This “discount” actually brings the PS5's pricing back to original pricing of Rs. 49,990 for the disc version and Rs. 39,990 for the digital version. This also affects any PS5 bundles such as the God of War Ragnarok bundle which will be down to Rs. 54,990.
