Located near Seema Talkies in Aligarh, the small and ordinary kachori stall of Mukesh Kumar became the talk of the food industry, when it came under the lens of the commercial tax department. Mukesh has been running the shop for the last 10-12 years and has earned repute for selling one of the best kachoris in town. But how well his business has been performing came to light only when the government officials found that the man running this small outlet has an annual turnover of more than Rs. 70 lakh and did not have GST (goods and services tax) registration.
